This former Victorian school is the central venue for arts in Belfast. Performing arts workshops, demonstrations, and classes focus on dance. Music workshops include such traditional Irish instruments as the Bodhran and Uileann Pipes. The Fenderesky Gallery features visual arts exhibitions.

Home to the Ulster Orchestra, the Ulster Hall also features the occasional rock concert. Most notable is Led Zeppelin's world debut of the colossal hit "Stairway to Heaven" in spring 1971.

A hybrid of contemporary and antique styling, this hall features a concert hall that seats more than 2,000 and hosts the ballet, symphony, and rock and Celtic music concerts. A 500-seat studio area is used for performances of modern dance, jazz, and experimental theater. A café and two bars are located on the premises.
